She like light and Poetry, Music
In sounds that vibrate through time with memories
And I can hear it now…
Can you sing a solo, Sister Emma
Making her way… We await what will arise
God lived in her voice and with sound and compassion
My childhood wrapped in song…she sings… “Give Me A Clean Heart.”
And we as kids sit and listen unaware. Her voice could erase shame
She carrier of Song . Lady of Music.
Burdened and heavy they came
In pain with hurt and frustrated
With words parting lips touching hearts
“Amazing Grace shall always be my song of Praise”, she’d sing
And Light. Like love washing
Like Spirit Moving
Like God making alive
Her voice could lift you up
She Carrier of Song. Lady of Music.
Amidst screams, Sing Deedee
“Your Grace and Mercy” belting
People getting happy in the Holy Ghost
“Joy, Joy, God’s great Joy” howling!
“God is my all and all”, moving
He used her to make you strong
She would sing “I still have Joy” and you knew you could go on
She would hum “It’ in Jesus” and bring His peace
Her voice could move mountains
She carrier of Song. Lady of Music.
When she sang “He touched me”
You knew He had…
Yes we will miss her
But as she sang so many times
We hold to with earnest conviction
She would say…
“One of these ole mornings and it wont be long”
Can you hear her…
You’re gonna look for me and I’ll be gone”
Like music to my ears…singing
“Im going to a place where I’ll have nothing, nothing to do…
And we know that She Carrier of Song, Lady of Music is Walking Around Heaven.
Walk on Emma! For the race has been won!
